Moraine Lake, painted upright — 18 by 24 — because the lake wants height: the peaks stack over the water and the trees on both sides do the framing. The rock went on in flat angled slabs, cool grey with a band of pink where the late light hits the face; the water is turquoise cooling to deep blue, with pale streaks dragged across it for the wind. Latex-acrylic on canvas, brushes only, the weave left showing in places. Painted in 2026 and signed lower left.
